About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Sky's Commercial Finance team as a Commercial Finance Analyst. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping us deliver our financials, partnering with business stakeholders to interpret and analyze financial performance, and use your influencing skills to provide recommendations on how to drive more value.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong business partnering relationships with the management team for your business area, providing trusted advice and support.
  • Deliver best-in-class analysis, reporting, insight, and financial mentorship to drive business performance.
  • Provide detailed analysis and recommendations for commercial deals, business decisions, and investment appraisals/business cases.
  • Deliver accurate financial planning, including budgeting, rolling forecasts, and strategic long-range plans.
  • Interpret and drive action on monthly results, working closely with our Shared Service Centre who prepare our management accounts.
  • Manage risks and opportunities for your business area, ensuring numbers are clearly understood.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to junior members of the finance team (including graduates).
Your Qualifications and Experience:
  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CPA qualification (or equivalent).
  • A track record of delivery and ambition in your career to date with a desire to develop further.
  • Ability to work at pace in an agile, fast-moving environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to provide clarity and guide decision-making.
  • A strong eye for detail and a deep knowledge of the numbers you are responsible for.
  • Ability to maintain a strong financial control environment.
  • Strong analytical skills (Microsoft Excel) with experience of preparing analysis, delivering insight, and turning this into recommendations that benefit your business.
  • Good communication skills through business partnering or client relationship management.
