Key Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver adult learning and community development opportunities that align with council priorities, focusing on literacies, family learning, and accreditation.
  • Work with local communities, adults, and community organizations to address issues of inequality and promote social inclusion.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and other agencies to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of community-based projects and initiatives that promote community engagement and participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address community needs, and develop innovative solutions to promote community development and learning.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in community development, adult learning, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of community development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driving license and access to a car.
