Job Title: Head of Health, Safety and Property Facilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our health, safety, and property facilities management efforts. As the Head of Health, Safety and Property Facilities, you will be responsible for driving and supporting the management of health and safety of our village facilities, creating new H&S standards and policies, and managing our property facilities management partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health and Safety: To procure and manage specialist contractors delivering key H&S services, provide day-to-day tactical H&S support, and work collaboratively with the People team to embed health, wellbeing, and mental health in the business.
  • H&S Policy, Standards, and Reporting: To lead and own the creation and updating of company H&S policy, be aware of upcoming changes in legislation, and lead and manage the accreditation of ISO45001.
  • H&S Advocate: To form part of the procurement process for new suppliers with H&S risk profiling and due diligence, be a trusted business partner, and proactively create and lead a health and safety training program.
  • Facilities Management: To coordinate all aspects of day-to-day property facilities management, own the relationship with key property facilities partners, and work in conjunction with village teams to ensure all facilities are safely and appropriately maintained.
Requirements:
  • Member of IOSH or other H&S organisation.
  • Strong demonstrable H&S experience.
  • Proven track record in the management of property facilities and facilities service partners.
  • Track record of supplier contract management.
  • Operational, development, and construction backgrounds.
  • Experience with ISO/OHSAS policy, audit inspection programs.
  • Experience in dealing with regulators.
  • Passionate about good design, safety, sustainability, and placemaking.
  • Ability to coach and develop team members.
