About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our Housing Solutions team as an Accommodation and Housing Officer. In this role, you will work collaboratively with households at risk of homelessness to remove barriers to rehousing, review and update personalized housing plans, and minimize stays in temporary accommodation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess applicants for homelessness, eligibility for assistance, priority need, and local connection with West Northamptonshire.
  • Consider intentional homelessness and work with local support agencies, health, and social services to achieve sustainable outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Homelessness Reduction Act and its duties on housing authorities.
  • Work methodically to confirm eligibility for housing assistance, homelessness, and priority need.
