Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Imerys, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our production plant. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for providing mechanical support, maintaining plant availability, and resolving mechanical issues. Your expertise in welding and fabrication work will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

About the Role
This is a challenging and varied role that requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail. You will work closely with our operations team to ensure that our production plant is running efficiently and effectively. Your knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and your ability to apply them in a practical setting will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide mechanical support for all key fixed plant and equipment
* Maintain plant availability at high levels through planned routine and reactive maintenance
* Maintain mechanical fixed processing plant, including fans, filters, mills, conveyors, packaging, etc.
* Fault find and resolve mechanical issues
* Adhere to Health & Safety standards
* Welding and fabrication work

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to have an NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering or equivalent, as well as previous experience working on Mills, Pumps, Conveyors, Bagging Equipment, and other Process Plant. You must also be able to drive in the UK and have a positive attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
