Job Title: Postal Delivery Worker

Location: Kelso

Contract Length: ASAP

Working Hours: 5 Days over 6 Mon - Sat (11am - 5pm)

Pay Rate: £13.37 standard rate- The pay rate will increase for any shifts past 8pm and for working Sundays

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier Driver to join our team in Kelso. As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for delivering post and parcels to customers in a timely and professional manner. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all deliveries are made on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

* You will start your day in the local delivery office sorting and collecting post/parcels to be delivered.
* You will be given a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for deliveries. The hand-held will also act as your routing system, telling you where to go to next.
* The role will be physically demanding, where you will be walking at least 8 miles per day. You will also be required to carry a bag that can weigh up to 16kg, delivering letters and parcels, with parcels weighing up to 20kg.
* Driving and on foot delivery will be required, and you will be required to push/pull a trolley during deliveries.

Key Skills:

* Valid UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points. (a clean license is preferred)
* Previous delivery or driving experience preferred but not mandatory.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Strong communication and customer service abilities.
* A commitment to safe and responsible driving practices.
* Working outdoors in all weathers is required
