VAT Specialist

The role of VAT Specialist is to assist the VAT Accountant and Tax Director with the group's VAT requirements, ensuring compliance and understanding in the business.
Key responsibilities include resolving system issues with the new ERP system, establishing best in practice processes, controls, and documentation to maintain a low risk BRR+ rating.
Additionally, the VAT Specialist will review VAT for standalone entities following M&A integration, update process notes to reflect changes resulting from the new ERP, and introduce appropriate testing requirements.
Strong systems knowledge of SAP S/4Hana and SAC, with Concur preferred, is essential for this role.
The Senior VAT Support will need to communicate effectively with a wide audience, advising and presenting information clearly to ensure tax compliance and understanding in the business.
This role is based on an 18-month fixed term contract and requires the ability to work with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and reporting accountants in the Company Finance Hub, as well as Business Partners and Analysts in Audio and Publishing.
