We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at SensePlus Portsmouth. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) who may also have additional physical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centered care and support to individuals with PMLD, promoting their independence, wellbeing, and growth.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that each person's needs are met.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the needs of people with PMLD and complex needs.
  • Excellent literacy, verbal, and communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive written records.
  • Experience equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or above in Social Care, with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Right to work in the UK.
