The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adult social care, with experience in supervising and supporting staff. They will be responsible for ensuring that decisions made meet the legislative requirements of the Care Act 2014 and are strength-based and holistic.

The role will involve:

  • Supervising, supporting, and mentoring staff to ensure they are providing high-quality assessments and adult social care services.
  • Recruiting, motivating, coaching, and supporting the development of staff, providing professional effective supervision, and dealing with performance and conduct issues promptly.
  • Providing practice guidance to team members, ensuring compliance with national and departmental policies, procedures, peer and user feedback, and maintaining accurate case recording.
  • Maintaining effective links and working relationships with local agencies, primary care networks, and other professionals to achieve integrated and joint working.
  • Responding to complaints and FOIs, ensuring any learning is implemented and shared across the wider teams.
