The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled Legal Consultant to join our team. As a Legal Consultant, you will support the negotiation of contracts on behalf of our clients within one of our dedicated teams. You will work alongside experienced colleagues and industry practitioners, developing your skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Manage your workload and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Liaise with clients and counterparties to draft, negotiate, amend, and execute commercial contracts, including ISDA agreements, CSAs, GMSLAs, GMRAs, NDAs, and Terms of Business.
- Manage and update negotiation databases, ensuring accurate tracking of external communications and escalations within the team.
- Provide information and reporting for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Participate in conference calls and meetings with clients, counterparties, and the DRS team.
- Stay up-to-date with legal and regulatory developments in derivatives law and practice through research, industry events, and our learning management system.
- A minimum of a 2:1 Undergraduate degree in Law or equivalent degree. A legal conversion qualification is desirable if your degree is in a different discipline.
- Interest in developing a career in Law.
- Fluent Mandarin language skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and clients.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
