Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lettings Head of Department to join our team at Savills in Edinburgh. As a leader, you will be responsible for driving the expansion of our lettings business, maintaining our market leader standing, and building a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive the expansion of the department and maintain our market leader standing
  2. Build and expand Savills Lettings business and identify future opportunities for growth
  3. Be seen as the 'go-to' agent in the region and build strong relationships with clients
  4. Carry out monthly business review meetings and monitor progress against targets
  5. Identify coaching needs for your team and arrange/carry out the required training
  6. Contribute to division-wide initiatives in line with the 5 pillars of Growth, Disruption, Client, People, and Finance
  7. Keep abreast of National issues and their impact on your office/business
  8. Comply with the Scottish ARLA Propertymark ways of working and keep up to date with all existing and new lettings & estate agency legislation
  9. Produce and regularly update relevant reports recording the performance of the department
  10. Recruit new team members and monitor sickness absences
  11. Deal with any staff grievance issues raised within the department
  12. Ensure your team are aware of the offices Health and Safety issues and monitor the work spaces and environments
  13. Be aware of all fire procedures for the office and ensure that staff are kept up to date with current office procedures for emergency evacuations

  1. ARLA Qualified
  2. Ability to work efficiently under pressure with a flexible approach
  3. Meticulous attention to detail
  4. Possesses vision and is able to develop complex strategies and solutions
  5. Excellent relationship builder to generate business
  6. Focused: commits to challenging goals and delivers consistently against these
  7. Cost management: financial and commercial acumen with excellent planning, budgeting, and operational reporting skills
  8. Continuous improvement: delivers efficiency in addition to effectiveness
