Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Coordinator to join our team in the Equinor OMMS contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Electrical and Instrumentation construction deliverables to the required technical standards, supporting site construction activities, and providing construction technical support to the customer and the Wood discipline engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive construction engineering experience, good technical knowledge of construction discipline and associated processes, and the ability to identify risk to delivery and build in mitigation / contingency plans. They will also have a proven track record of interpreting discipline documentation, sound knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS) and Hazard Identification Studies (HAZIDS), and substantial knowledge and understanding of technical specifications.

The successful candidate will be a well-organised, logical and thorough individual with good interpersonal, organisational, communication and team building skills. They will have a safety-first mindset, take personal responsibility for safety of self and others, and be able to understand and influence others.

Key Responsibilities

Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution
Carry out constructability reviews of work packs, resolving minor issues and escalating more serious issues as required
Deliver against agreed planned work scopes ensuring obligations are met by way of timely completion of work packs
Responsible for delivery of construction work packs which give clear activity breakdown and detailed narratives for all construction activities
Provide discipline experience to the ongoing development of project work methods, processes and team development
Ensure effective control of all material movements and ensure that all plant and equipment is fully certificated and controlled cost effectively
If identified, react to change in scope, inform necessary parties and complete the necessary change management documentation
Participate in audits and incident investigations as required
Contribute to assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance
Assist with the delivery and timely execution of the contract and ensure the construction requirements are satisfied
Ensure quality requirements are understood and complied with and prepare documents in accordance with the relevant project, statutory and legislative requirements
