Child Law Legal Assistant

JS Legal Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Child Law Legal Assistant to join their expanding Family department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child law and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working within the child law team, dealing mainly with public law cases
  • Using digital dictation systems to produce correspondence related to family matters
  • Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the solicitor's day-to-day activities
  • Liaising with local authorities, solicitors, barristers, courts, and guardians
  • Processing applications, preparing court bundles
  • Lodging documents, preparing short documents, i.e., position statements, and processing LLA online claims
  • Meeting with clients, taking notes
  • Diary management
  • General administration, including filing, photocopying, faxing, and scanning

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate will be an experienced child law legal assistant, family paralegal, or family legal secretary
  • Experience with case management
  • Experienced with processing LAA online claims
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills and a sympathetic ear
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm
  • Pleasant working environment
  • Free parking
