Companion Assistant for Young Adult

Are you passionate about working with individuals with Autism and learning disabilities? Do you enjoy creating meaningful relationships and making a positive impact on someone's life?
About Our ClientOur client is a 14-year-old girl who lives in the Cramlington area and requires a supportive companion to assist her in the community.
Suitable activities include visiting soft play centers, going to amusement parks, sensory play, and creative pursuits like arts, crafts, writing, and drawing.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be flexible, patient, and understanding, with experience supporting non-verbal individuals and a good awareness of Autism and learning disabilities.
You will need to be available to work every other weekend (Saturday or Sunday) for 4 hours and be willing to commit to regular sessions with the young lady.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate for Children is required prior to commencement, and training will be provided as necessary.
Estimated salary: £25,500 per annum (£13.09 per hour).
