Job Title: Commercial Gas and Oil Engineer

Location: Covering Birmingham

Salary: £44,330.77 per annum, inclusive of standby allowance £2,020.98

Benefits: Company Vehicle, Company pension scheme, BUPA (single cover), death in service, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

Hours: 45 hours a week – Monday to Friday

On call / Standby: 1 week in every 4

Our client, a Global Facilities Management company, is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas and Oil Engineer to cover sites across Birmingham. Due to a major new contract win with a highly respected Blue-Chip retailer, this role has become available.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive HVAC maintenance across small, medium, and large sites.
  2. Providing first-line maintenance support across allocated sites.
  3. Completing maintenance tasks to the highest standards, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness, while adhering to the company's Health and Safety Policy.
  4. Maintaining and repairing a range of mechanical equipment, including fans, pumps, and compressors, to recognized standards.
  5. Identifying non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly reporting findings to the HVAC Supervisor.
  6. Conducting surveys and completing reports as required by management.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Qualified Commercial Gas and Heating Engineer with experience across multi-sites in the service and maintenance of heating systems.
  2. NVQ Level 3 – Commercial and Industrial Gas, Building Services / Heat & Ventilation.
  3. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  4. A hands-on, can-do, and flexible approach to work.
