About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team in Poole. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, including Autism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the unique needs of students with SEN.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students with Autism, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to create comprehensive support plans for students with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and development, ensuring all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, promoting effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in SEN education.
  • Previous experience working in a SEN school setting.
  • Strong understanding of different SEN needs and effective strategies for supporting students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Dedication to promoting inclusion and equality in education.

About the School

The school provides an Alternative Provision for students who require additional support due to health issues, behavioural challenges, or other factors. The school prioritizes safety, self-awareness, and emotional resilience, creating a supportive environment for holistic growth and development.
