We are seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a well-established further education college in London. The successful candidate will provide in-class support to students in mainstream courses, focusing on students with moderate special educational needs (SEN), including autism and ADHD.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students aged 16-19, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve their academic goals. You will be part of a dynamic team that delivers high-quality education and support services to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-class support to students with moderate SEN, including autism and ADHD
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist students with daily tasks, such as organization and time management
  • Help students develop their social and emotional skills, promoting independence and self-confidence
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
