Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist care to children with learning disabilities and autism.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paediatric nursing and experience in working with children with learning disabilities and autism. They will be able to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support to our patients and their families.

The role will involve developing and implementing plans to improve the care and support of children with learning disabilities and autism, as well as auditing practice and services to ensure they are meeting the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing specialist care to children with learning disabilities and autism
  • Developing and implementing plans to improve the care and support of children with learning disabilities and autism
  • Auditing practice and services to ensure they are meeting the needs of our patients
  • Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support to our patients and their families

Requirements:

  • First Degree (or equivalent level) in nursing or health-related subject
  • Teaching and assessing qualification
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD
  • Post-graduate Diploma/ Degree/Masters
  • Teaching qualification
  • Additional safeguarding / other relevant qualification / experience
