Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and supporting students in a residential environment?

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Residential Services Department at Imperial College London.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the delivery and monitoring of halls of residence management services to students.

You will act as a first point of contact for students and guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.

During the summer months, you will support the Village Management Team in the operational management of the halls, ensuring a seamless experience for students.

To succeed in this role, you will need proven experience in a similar position, knowledge of current health and safety legislation, and the ability to work in a customer-focused environment.

Additionally, you will possess effective oral and written communication skills, the ability to work within and develop a team, and be adept at providing direction and overseeing the work of others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and monitor halls of residence management services to students.
  • Act as a first point of contact for students and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Support the Village Management Team in the operational management of the halls during the summer months.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar position in a hotel or higher education residential environment.
  • Knowledge of current health and safety legislation, particularly in relation to the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and the Student Accommodation Code.
  • Proven ability to work in a customer-focused environment, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within and develop a team.
  • Adept at providing direction and overseeing the work of others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook) and in-depth knowledge and experience of diary-based booking systems (Kinetic Solutions Kx).
