We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager for our North West & Yorkshire Advisory team, responsible for overseeing project management activities with an emphasis on programme management and project control. This role will provide project management support to delivery teams in areas such as contract and procurement management, cost management, change control, and actions/issues management.

The successful candidate will have experience working on various transport projects, including highways and rail sectors, water, building projects, and large infrastructure projects. Although the role is advertised for a Senior Project Manager, we welcome applicants with varying levels of skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence;
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies;
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, providing regular updates to stakeholders;
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Collaborate with project sponsors and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables;

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Chartered or working towards chartership from a recognized institution;
  • Knowledge and understanding of design process for major projects;
  • BSc qualified in project management, engineering discipline, or equivalent;
  • Project Management training such as Prince 2/MSP/APM or relevant qualification;
