About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Crime Operations Lead to join our team at Unity Trust Bank. As a key member of our Customer Fulfilment function, you will play a critical role in implementing and executing our Financial Crime framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Financial Crime Operations team, ensuring the effective management of day-to-day operations and the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the 2nd line policy owners to identify and mitigate financial crime risks, and provide input on policy enhancements.
  • Support the development of key risk indicators and monitoring reports to ensure the bank's Financial Crime risk appetite is met.
  • Provide guidance and support to 1st line business units on Financial Crime Business Wide Risk Assessments.
  • Work closely with the DMLRO & MLRO to provide status updates and briefings on new regulatory developments and Financial Crime enhancements.
  • Have line management responsibilities for the Financial Crime team, responsible for performance delivery and performance management.
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Financial Crime Operations Lead with:

  • Banking qualifications and Financial Crime qualifications.
  • Operational knowledge of bank processes and key regulatory/legal issues.
  • Extensive experience leading and delivering SME Financial Crime teams and frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and provide guidance to the 1st line business units.
