Job Title: Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) Programmer/Operator

Location: Brownhills

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Position Type: Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) Programmer/Operator to contribute to our team's success. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both online and offline programming and will have extensive experience with Fanuc-controlled machines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Programming & Setup: Program, set up, and operate VMCs to produce high-quality parts.

2. Online & Offline Programming: Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using both online and offline methods to enhance efficiency.

3. Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy in production.

4. Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and measurements to maintain strict quality control standards and ensure compliance with specifications.

5. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

6. Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to ensure timely completion of projects, sharing insights and feedback to improve processes.

7. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on VMCs to keep machines in optimal condition, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.

8. Continuous Improvement: Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and suggest improvements to optimize production processes.
