The Midland Hotel, Manchester, is seeking a skilled Junior Chef de Rang to deliver exceptional guest experiences in its esteemed dining room.

As a key member of the Adam Reid at The French team, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant, ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring that all aspects of the guest food and beverage experience are met to the highest standards.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort, responding promptly to guest inquiries and requests.
  • Take ownership of duties and tasks assigned, ensuring timely and professional completion.
  • Contribute to departmental plans and objectives, achieving hotel initiatives and targets.
  • Collaborate with immediate reports to control costs and inventory, maintaining productivity and performance levels.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships, promoting the company culture and values.
  • Ensure adherence to all legislation, performing due diligence requirements and best practice activities for internal and external audit.

Requirements:

  • Experience in food and beverage service is beneficial but not essential.
  • A hands-on approach with a can-do attitude.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry.
  • The ability to find creative solutions and take ownership of duties and tasks assigned.
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence.
  • Experience working with IT systems on various platforms.
  • Strong communication skills.
