We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our team as a Ward Manager for Surgical 6, part of the STAE care at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a fast-paced 20-bed surgical ward, specialising in the care of Urology and Orthopaedics, as well as other medical patients.
Main Duties- Assume responsibility for the surgical ward and provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
- Lead and develop the nursing team in the care of surgical patients and assist in the development of clinical competencies.
- Provide expert, holistic care of a high standard to both patients and their relatives within King's College Hospital.
- Act as a clinical resource within the ward and across the Care Group as necessary.
- Be an effective clinical leader and role model with good delegation and supervisory abilities.
- Be a safe and effective practitioner able to provide patients and relatives with high-quality nursing care.
- Undertake managerial responsibilities ensuring staff management is safe, effective, and within the assigned budget.
- Strong involvement in recruitment and retention programmes.
- Work alongside the multi-disciplinary team and ward triumvirate to enhance patient care and experience.
