About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Secretary to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical staff and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to our clinical staff, including preparing patient records, managing correspondence, and coordinating appointments.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient care and experience.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
Person Specification
- Good standard of general education.
- Secretarial and audio-word-processing qualification to at least RSA3/advanced level certificate or equivalent experience.
- Previous Medical Secretarial experience.
- Significant experience of dealing with the public.
- Knowledge of PAS or similar system.
