The RoleThis exciting opportunity is for an Assistant Head of Department to lead the Science and Engineering faculty at Franklin College. As a key member of our senior team, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Department to promote our college values and behaviours. You will take initiative to enhance the student teaching and learning experience, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide high-quality teaching and learning to our students within the Science and Engineering curriculum area
- To engage with students, their families, and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning culture
- To contribute to the development of innovative curricula and educational programs
We are seeking a qualified educator with prior teaching experience and specialisms in Science and Engineering. A strong understanding of the curriculum area and ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning are essential.
Salary and BenefitsThis permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary on the Sixth Form College teachers' pay scale, ranging from NSP 1 £30,500 to NSP 9 £47,133 per annum (FTE), plus a responsibility allowance of £2,110 per annum. We also offer a range of benefits, including a comprehensive staff development program, opportunities for career progression, and a supportive working environment.
