Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at the North Kensington Community Mental Health Hub. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality occupational therapy services to clients with complex mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions for clients under the care of the team.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote client recovery and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
  • Conduct functional assessments and home assessments to identify equipment needs and make recommendations.
  • Provide evidence-based group interventions to promote client engagement and participation.
  • Work closely with clients to identify and address barriers to recovery and develop strategies to overcome them.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the team's psychosocial offer.

Person Specification
  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with a strong background in mental health.
  • Experience working in community mental health settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy models and theories.
  • Experience with risk assessment and risk management.
  • Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and with complex needs.
