About this Role

We are currently seeking a Strategic Operations Director to join our team at MHP. As the primary point of contact, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational delivery of high-quality projects and programmes across consulting services and solutions that drive value for clients.

Main Responsibilities

Project Oversight & Management:

  • Work closely with sales and delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, within scope, and to the highest standards.
  • Manage and provide operational guidance to matrix team members.
  • Review, shape, and steer project deliverables to meet and exceed agreed-upon KPIs and objectives.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Act as the main liaison between MHP and key automotive clients, ensuring strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Understand clients' business challenges and objectives and work with sales and business development teams to create tailored solutions.
  • Travel to client sites for regular meetings to review project progress, provide updates, and gather feedback.

Strategic Account Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to maximize business opportunities and grow the account portfolio.
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities for consulting services, products, or new projects.

Business Development:

  • Proactively support efforts to acquire new business from existing clients and develop relationships with potential new clients.

Financial Management:

  • Monitor account performance and profitability to ensure revenue targets and budget expectations are met.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, track budgets, and identify opportunities to improve margins.
  • Collaborate with marketing and other teams to align client strategies with MHP's overall business objectives.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with

  • 10 years of experience working in the automotive industry (desirable).
  • Operations/Project Management experience.
  • A deep understanding of the automotive/mobility industry, its challenges, key players, including OEMs.
  • Very good knowledge of one or multiple CRM systems like Salesforce and SAP.
  • The ability to create high-quality business documentation, including business cases and pitch decks.
  • Experience in optimising SAP-related systems, processes, and operations.
  • Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Requirements Planning) in manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and digital engineering.
  • Familiarity with digital manufacturing, robotics, PLM, simulation, and CX strategy definition.
