This is a business-facing role with the primary purpose of delivering complex internal projects that require support and involvement from multiple functions across Aveva.

The Programme Manager will define, lead, and oversee the successful planning, budgeting, and delivery of projects, providing security and technical expertise and programme leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the successful delivery of cross-functional programmes, identifying, planning, and coordinating security, technological, and business projects.
  • Ensuring programme goals are accomplished and aligned with business objectives.
  • Defining vision, goals, objectives, and strategy for all programmes and projects.
  • Proactively planning and optimising resources to establish and maintain a realistic delivery programme.
  • Identifying, analysing, and mitigating programme risks, communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  • Defining and managing governance arrangements, including milestone reporting, project status reporting, financial reporting, and risk and issue management.
  • Adhering to Aveva's PPM tools and processes.
  • Managing programme budgets, monitoring expenditure, and costs for effective budget and benefit management.
  • Supporting and involving in delivering performance reviews, managing objectives, and recruitment.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, project management, or general business management, or equivalent related IT experience.
  • Programme management training and certification (PgMP, MSP, etc.).
  • At least 5 years delivering complex Information Security, technology, or business transformation programmes.
  • Proven experience of complex stakeholder management, managing stakeholders with different views and personality types.
  • Managed budgets and resources effectively to deliver programmes efficiently and within budget.
  • Managing significant risks and issues.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others, demonstrating empathy and knowledge of personality types.
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence diverse groups of stakeholders to achieve a common goal.
  • Knowledge of programme and project-planning tools.
  • Familiarity with all elements of security.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations.
  • Change implementation planning and management.
  • Strategic thinking to facilitate prioritisation.
  • Good business and commercial awareness.
  • Effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment where this role may not directly control resources.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
