Job Role: Senior/Supervising Social Worker

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our team at Foster Care Associates (FCA). As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality support and supervision to foster families, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support foster families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people
  • Monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring they provide a safe and nurturing environment
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated foster families, adhering to FCA's Operational Standards
  • Work in partnership with foster families, other agencies, and professionals to identify and address the needs of children and young people
  • Ensure compliance with key documentation and attend relevant meetings and tasks
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support service and day duty system to support referrals
  • Undertake initial home visits and Form F Assessments as required

Requirements:

  • Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality report writing and a comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel extensively, including occasional nights away
