We are seeking a highly skilled Business and Finance Support Officer to join our team at Crooton. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our finance department, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the departmental e-procurement processes, ensuring compliance with financial instructions and acting as the single point of contact for departmental queries.
  2. Prepare documentation for mutual aid and external charging opportunities, ensuring accurate recording and recovery of costs and income.
  3. Manage the BSU petty cash and oversee the process in other teams, carrying out credit card purchases and managing transactions.
  4. Highlight and resolve overtime issues using the CARM duty management system, considering Police Regulations, the Police Staff Handbook, and general HR policies.
  5. Act as subject matter expert on overtime and associated entitlements, providing training and assistance to CARM users and management.
  6. Represent the CARM practitioners group, tri-force overtime and systems meetings, and internal meetings, contributing to the development of the CARM system.
  7. Design and provide accurate and timely reporting on Local Policing overtime, enabling informed decisions on overtime expenditure and budget management.
  8. Prepare for banking seized cash received from the Property department, ensuring compliance with force processes and auditability.
Requirements
  1. Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration, a finance qualification, or 3 years relevant experience in a finance administration role.
  2. Experience working with Microsoft Office and M365.
  3. Experience exporting data and using applications to present and report data effectively.
  4. Experience analysing data and interrogating systems to make recommendations to senior managers.
