About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dairy Department Manager to join our team at Giant Eagle. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the dairy department to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction and sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Merchandising and Sales
    • Develop and implement effective merchandising plans to drive sales growth and meet customer needs.
    • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Operations and Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
    • Monitor and control department costs to achieve profitability goals.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead and develop a high-performing team of dairy department employees.
    • Provide coaching and training to employees to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Customer Service and Experience
    • Ensure exceptional customer service and experience in the dairy department.
    • Monitor and address customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Operations and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with all store policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
    • Monitor and maintain a clean and safe store environment.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a dairy department or related field.
  • Prior experience in grocery or dairy management is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Lifting requirement: up to 50 pounds.
