About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Business Administration Support Assistant to join our team at Avantor's Cambridge facility.

This role offers a unique chance to work in a dynamic environment, supporting our Leadership Team, Head of Services, and other stakeholders to deliver world-class scientific support.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and expertise in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, which includes a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career development.

Job Description:

The Business Administration Support Assistant will be responsible for managing day-to-day administrative tasks, facilitating high-level meetings, and overseeing critical onboarding and offboarding activities.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and build relationships with internal departments and clients.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, supporting Leadership Team/Head of Department/Head of Services, ideally within Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry
  • Line management experience is desirable, as this role has the potential to evolve into a people management position
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint for senior-level presentations
  • Proven ability to manage spreadsheets related to budgets, costs, and overall spend
