Job Summary

CAMHS Specialty Doctor Position

We are seeking an experienced Community CAMHS Specialty Doctor to join our multidisciplinary team in Basildon and Brentwood. The successful candidate will provide senior medical support and direct input on clinical cases, working alongside our Consultant Psychiatrists and developing links with local acute trusts.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to children and young people with mental health needs
  • Provide senior medical support to the team, including guidance and supervision
  • Direct input on clinical cases and liaison with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals
  • Develop links with local acute trusts and work alongside Consultant Psychiatrists

Requirements

  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
  • Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this
  • Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders
  • At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training in a relevant specialty or as a fixed-term specialty trainee
