Financial Planning and Analysis Role

Team Recruitment is seeking a skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team in the Rig Aftermarket department. As a key member of our FP&A team, you will be responsible for assisting with financial planning and analysis tasks for two ledgers (UK and Baku). Your primary focus will be on local business partnering, with a heavy emphasis on financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with financial planning and analysis tasks for two ledgers (UK and Baku) within the Rig Aftermarket team.
  • Support the local management team with reporting, analysis, and presentation of actual, forecast, and plan numbers.
  • Review ongoing projects for relevant Business Units and ensure timely and accurate revenue and cost recognition.
  • Assist in the completion and review of monthly P&L and management reports, and prepare variance analysis for the FP&A Manager.
  • Prepare Labour recovery reconciliations for several Business units and assist the FP&A Manager with their review.
  • Review aged WIP and provide commentary to the business to ensure projects are being completed on a timely basis and to feed this into the accounting team for SOX purposes.
  • Review and reconcile relevant Contract Assets and Liabilities sections, including ageing monitoring and commentary.
  • Assist with monthly Forecast and Annual Financial Plan preparation.
  • Perform accounting tasks for FP&A related areas and provide support to a wider Finance team in Rig Aftermarket, as required.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Other accounting and FP&A tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy or Finance or equivalent.
  • Professional accountancy qualification such as CIMA / ACCA (desirable).
  • Experienced business partner working with non-financial management.
  • Working within a financial / accounting environment of a larger entity - 3 years + (desirable).
  • Experience of POC accounting methods.
  • Experience working within Oracle and Glovia ERP systems.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Great Communication skills.
  • Excellent Analytical skills.
