We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Psychiatrist to lead our 12 bedded male PICU service at Cygnet Hospital Wyke.

Job Overview

Cygnet Hospital Wyke provides comprehensive acute admissions services for men. As a Senior Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for managing the treatment plans of our patients in conjunction with our multidisciplinary team (MDT).

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the MDT to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct mental state examinations and assessments of referrals
  • Undertake investigations, diagnosis, and treatment as required
  • Participate in ward rounds and clinical audits
  • Implement risk assessment, risk management, and clinical governance protocols
  • Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings

Requirements
  • Fully GMC registered and MBBS qualified
  • Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12, and AC Status
  • Experienced in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis
  • Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
