Job Title: Instrument Technician

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in the UK. This role involves maintaining and developing our plant and equipment to the highest standards, ensuring maximum availability and reliability of the production process and CHP plant.

About the Role
  1. Maintenance and Repair: Undertake preventative and corrective maintenance routines to prevent equipment failure and downtime.
  2. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with industrial instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment.
  3. Project Management: Manage projects to refurbish and upgrade equipment, optimizing performance and efficiency.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A recognized apprenticeship in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Control and Instrumentation engineering.
  • HNC level qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Control and Instrumentation engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of industrial instrumentation, fault-finding techniques, calibration procedures, and control systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to fault-find, maintain, and repair electrical equipment.
  • Competent with engineering drawings and familiar with maintenance management systems.
  • Strong commitment to safety, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and organized with the ability to manage responsibilities efficiently.
