Traffic Management Specialist

FM Conway, a family-run business with over 60 years of experience in creating sustainable transportation solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Traffic Management Specialist to join its Traffic Light division based in Egham, Surrey.
Salary: The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary, including a weekend uplift of £10 per shift, and opportunities for overtime and night work at an industry-leading rate. Based on the requirements of the role and the location, we estimate the salary to be around £38,000 - £42,000 per annum.
Job Description:
The Traffic Management Specialist will work as part of a team to carry out a range of services, including setting up temporary traffic lights, installing, maintaining, and removing traffic management systems. Key responsibilities will include:
- Setting up temporary traffic lights as required
- Assisting with the diversion of traffic
- Maintaining and removing traffic lights within the required time scale
- Managing traffic flow at temporary traffic lights and ensuring public compliance
- Working closely with management and crews, taking instructions from the management team
- Ensuring sites are safe and conducting on-site assessments
- Taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency, particularly notifying relevant parties
- Being on call, out of hours, on a rota basis if required
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need knowledge of traffic management operations, hold a valid CSCS card, and possess at least one of the following traffic management tickets: Lantra –, M1/2, M5, M6,12AB Operatives, or LTMO/TMF. Additionally, you must be able to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings and be aware of and comply with provided RAMS.
