Senior Old Age Psychiatry Consultant Opportunity in Northamptonshire

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be based at St Mary's Hospital and will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of medical staff and contribute to the development of services in Older Adult's Psychiatry.
- Work closely with colleagues to implement innovative treatment approaches, including nurse-administered ECT, rTMS, and ketamine infusion.
- Contribute to research collaborations with leading universities, such as the Open University, Nottingham, Oxford, and Northampton University.
- Provide mentorship and educational opportunities for junior doctors.
- Participate in clinical research and have access to the trust's research fellows to develop research ideas.

Person Specification
- MRC Psych or equivalent qualification.
- Full GMC registration and inclusion on the Specialist Register or Specialist Registrars within six months of completing CCST.
- Management skills and ability to travel to all locations within the trust.
- Basic computer skills, including email and internet use.
- Publications in the field of psychiatry and management training are desirable.
