Assistant Buyer

We're seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our retail team at The National Trust. As a key member of our buying team, you'll play a crucial role in growing our Fashion, Children's & Outdoor business commercially and in new and innovative directions.
Key Responsibilities
You'll work closely with the buyer to identify and develop new opportunities to meet budgets, creating ranges that link back to our cause and engage both our organisation and supporters. You'll be responsible for building solid relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring policies and frameworks are fully implemented.
Requirements
We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of the UK retail market and supply base, as well as experience in range building, product management, and buying planning systems. You'll need excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
