Job Title: Plant Fitter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Fitter to join our team in maintaining plants across London and the South East. The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of plant maintenance and processes, including asphalt plant maintenance and processes, dry and wet batch plants, pneumatics systems, and mechanical engineering skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform tasks such as changing and inspecting bearings, rollers, drums, valves, and gates.
  • Conduct thorough plant inspections to identify defects and promptly report issues using online systems.
  • Prioritize workload effectively, set timelines, and demonstrate the ability to work within specified deadlines.
  • Create and adhere to Health & Safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements for all tasks undertaken, ensuring strict adherence to permit conditions.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Previous experience in confined space working is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with operating mobile plant equipment such as MEWP, Telehandler, and FEL is desirable.
  • Possession of a valid First Aid certification is preferred.
Working Hours:
  • Work 12-hour shifts, with 12 consecutive days on duty followed by 2 days off.
  • Be fully flexible regarding working hours and weekend shifts due to the dynamic nature of the role.
