Head of Finance Job Description

Reed Finance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to join their esteemed Hospitality Venue team.

This role will suit a qualified accountant with a strong background in hotels and hospitality, events, catering, or golf.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate and generate budgets and forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning.
  2. Prepare and present Board Finance Reports to stakeholders.
  3. Analyze weekly wage and revenue data to inform business decisions.
  4. Review and oversee business financial performance to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Manage working capital, including billing, collection, and debtor management.
  6. Collaborate with the Hotel General Manager, Director of Golf, and other key Heads of Department to drive business success.
  7. Oversee fixed asset registers and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  8. Manage the annual audit process and liaise with auditors.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Qualified member of an accountancy body (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  2. Experience in the Hotel, Hospitality, Catering, Events, Golf & Leisure sectors is highly desirable.
  3. Proven track record of producing accounts, KPIs, and reports at Board level.
  4. Successful leadership experience in a finance function.
Skills & Knowledge:
  1. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  2. Desirable to have experience working with POS systems and Property Management Systems.
  3. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Emotionally intelligent leadership.
  5. Strong technical skills.
