Job Title: Engine Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engine Test Engineer to join our team at Millbrook. As an Engine Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our test beds, as well as delivering high-quality test data to support the development of new engine technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to in the test bed environment.
  • Deliver engineering objectives set by senior engineers and engineering managers.
  • Generate accurate engine installation packs and schematics for test bed setups.
  • Process and validate engine test data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Analyse engine data to identify trends and causes for concern.
  • Track project efficiency and maintain project-related invoicing.
  • Develop and lead initiatives to reduce waste and optimize efficiency in the test bed environment.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an automotive engineering discipline.
  • Test bed experience in an automotive testing environment.
  • Excellent understanding of gasoline and diesel engine mechanical fundamentals.
  • Ability to work closely with customer engineering teams to establish and carry out test programs.
  • Experience of a wide variety of engine types would be advantageous.
  • Appreciation of electrical and mechanical engine diagnostics.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to use a zero-blame culture for improvement of self and facility.
