About the Role

We are seeking an experienced RSCN to join our team as a Childcare Manager in the Luton area. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing face-to-face support to children and their families, creating personalized care plans, and working closely with a core team of carers to train and support them with clinical skills and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver tailored care plans specific to individual clients' needs
  • Effectively manage the multidisciplinary team through strong communication and teamwork
  • Provide ongoing monitoring, support, and assessment of clients' physical and physiological needs within your caseload
  • Deliver nursing interventions, including medicine management
  • Built sophisticated relationships with clients' families
  • Work closely with community teams, CHC nurses, and CCG commissioners to establish and maintain bespoke packages of care
Requirements
  • RSCN qualification with at least 6 months of experience in the UK and an active NMC PIN
  • Supportive management style that can bring out the best in others
  • Up-to-date experience of tracheostomy care and ventilators within the last 2 years
  • Advanced communication skills verbally and written to liaise effectively with patients, families, and the MDT
  • Suitable for Band 5/Band 6 Nurses with evidence of effective leadership and management of HCAs
  • Full UK driving license desirable but not essential
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary up to £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
  • Two days working from home per week/three days in the community
  • Monday to Friday (9-5) hours
  • 33 days holiday
