Jacobs is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at the Humber Facility. As a key member of the Operations team, you will play a vital role in delivering design services across various frameworks and projects nationwide.

This exciting opportunity offers the chance to drive change and innovation in engineering, safety, and delivery solutions while working closely with our Senior Designer and Project Management team. You will be responsible for developing design deliverables into project schemes in accordance with British Standards and Client specifications, including creating technical documentation, 3D models, and updating drawings.

The ideal candidate will have strong IT skills, office 365, and Excel knowledge, as well as experience in developing designs from models and conceptual discussions. Site and engineering experience are also essential, with training and mentoring provided in all aspects of the role.

We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including free single medical cover and digital GP service, family-friendly benefits, and reimbursement towards relevant professional development and memberships.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Working alongside Mechanical Engineers and Project Managers to develop engineering concepts.
  • Developing design concepts into scheme drawings in accordance with British Standards and Client Specifications.
  • Liaising with other engineering disciplines.
  • Preparing drawings for design review meetings as required both internal and external.
