Lead Government and Public Affairs Campaigns

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead government and public affairs campaigns at the National Composites Centre (NCC). As part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, the NCC is an independent, open-access technology centre focused on addressing complex engineering challenges.

You will join this dynamic organisation as it implements its new 5-year strategy, driving innovation and growth in the composites industry. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the NCC's public affairs strategy, building relationships with key stakeholders, and influencing policy decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective public affairs campaigns to promote the NCC's interests
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and media representatives
  • Provide strategic advice to the NCC's leadership team on public affairs and policy issues
  • Monitor and analyze policy developments, identifying opportunities and risks for the NCC

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in public affairs, government relations, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of the UK's policy landscape and regulatory environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
