About the Role:

We are seeking reliable and dedicated School Caretakers to join our team for both full-time and casual positions at primary schools in [XXXXXXX]. As a School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall condition of the school environment, ensuring a welcoming space for staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grounds Maintenance: Ensure the school grounds are safe, tidy, and well-maintained.
  • Cleaning Duties: Perform general cleaning tasks, ensuring classrooms, hallways, and communal areas are spotless and ready for the school day.
  • Security: Open and lock up the school premises, managing security measures to keep the site secure during off-hours.
  • Maintenance: Identify and report any maintenance, safety, or security issues using the school's IT system. Handle basic maintenance tasks like fixing doors, changing lightbulbs, and managing school equipment.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with school staff to ensure the smooth operation of the school and grounds.

Requirements:

  • Able to log and report issues through the school's system.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience working in a school environment. However, we welcome applicants from varied backgrounds including site supervisors, project managers, handypersons, health and safety officers, and maintenance professionals.
