Job Summary

The successful candidate will work as part of a small team, providing accountancy support to various clients. The role involves assisting with business accounts preparation, book-keeping, VAT and administrative work for Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs), bank reconciliations, nominal reconciliations, and posting journals. Training will be given in using various systems including Xero, Sage, Quick Books, Excel, and Word.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with business accounts preparation
  • Support with book-keeping and VAT work
  • Contribute to administrative tasks for SMEs
  • Reconcile bank and nominal accounts
  • Post journals and maintain accurate records

Training and Development

The successful candidate will receive training in accounts production software and will be allocated with an assessor who will visit them in the workplace once every 6-8 weeks. The training plan includes the Level 4 AAT qualification and will be tailored to the individual's needs.

Requirements

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (grade C/4)
  • AAT L2 (grade Pass)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
