We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our UK design team at Above Limited. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality design deliverables in Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering offices.
About the OpportunityThe successful candidate will support our expanding Water Utilities workload by providing designs for water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. This will include design delivery at all stages, from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed designs for construction and commissioning.
This is a full-time permanent vacancy offering hybrid working from home and office locations. We have offices based in various regions across the UK.
Responsibilities and Requirements- Work within project controls, guidelines, and procedures.
- Support the Design Lead/CAD Manager and other team members in undertaking a wide range of design-related tasks.
- Undertake design and modelling activities using Autodesk Civil 3D or other third-party software packages as required.
- Ensure adherence to BIM Procedures on relevant projects.
- Produce AutoCAD drawings in accordance with CAD procedures.
- Assist with the production of project documentation and reports.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering, with proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Navisworks, and associated 3rd party packages, as well as MS Office suite.
