Yard Operative Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Yard Operative to join our team at Conservatory Outlet, a leading manufacturer in Yorkshire. As a key member of our yard team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our purchasing yard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Check deliveries and move products between departments to ensure the factory has the right amount of stock in the right place at the right time.
  • Work outside in a busy yard environment loading and unloading lorries.
  • Move goods packed on stillage's, pallets, or crates around the yard facility.
  • Stack goods in the correct location bays.
  • Perform any other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • An in-date Combi Lift and counterbalance license is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail with great organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with colleagues, managers, and customers.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong team player who can work on own initiative with a can-do attitude with effective time management.
  • Strong Health and Safety knowledge.
  • A willingness to undertake further training with the ability to implement learning into your daily work.
